What Is A Biochar Machine? – Top Raw Materials to Make Biochar

Biochar equipment references a technology known as pyrolysis or carbonization to derive biochar from sources such as agricultural-biomass waste. It also goes by the name of biochar production equipment, biomass pyrolysis machine, or a charcoal making machine.

Every country has differing levels of waste (agricultural), and biochar machine is among the best methods to address this waste. Using charcoal or biochar as a replacement to traditional energy helps to lower carbon emissions and to protect the environment while also assisting with lowering our dependence on resources such as coal and oil.

How Is Biochar Made?

– Biomass Pretreatment

Biomass is made up of organic matter that is indirectly or directly produced by green trees and plants through a process known as photosynthesis. Some of the main benefits is that these products come in large reserves, they are renewable, and provide wide distribution. It is also among the top raw materials to make biochar. The biomass in its original state will determine how much moisture must first be removed. The moisture content should not exceed 15%, and the size of the waist needs to be broken down to 2cm or less. To support biochar businesses, companies like Beston also provide crushers and desiccants for processing the raw materials. More information on charcoal making machine here.

– The Carbonization Process

A conveyor belt is used for transporting the materials in their raw form to a feeding device (closed). From here the materials enter a reactor (medium temperature zone). This environment is oxygen free while the temperature during this stage is around 150 to 300 degrees Celsius. The carbonization causes a reaction where the chemical composition of the raw materials starts to change.

When the temperature starts to rise from 300 to 600 degrees Celsius, the materials undergo complex chemical and physical reactions (the main stage of carbonization), to produce tar, ethanol, vinegar, and wood. Further heating discharges any volatile residual substances still present inside the charcoal, while increasing the “fixed” carbon content of the charcoal. – Combustible Gas

Most of the flue gas that is generated from the process of carbonization goes into a cyclone-dust collector to remove the dust. After purification, flue gas changes into “combustible” flue gas which is then fed into a combustible furnace to provide a secondary source of heat. Once the source of heat has been used any exhaust gas undergoes a dedusting process in the cyclone-dust collector, which is then discharged by a tail gas-dust collector.

Is Biochar A Profitable Business?

The biochar machine can turn into a highly profitable business!

If you start to learn about biochar and the way it’s made, you will start to understand why these projects are profitable and offers a a diverse range of prospects. There are currently over 100 methods on how to use biochar. Many countries around the globe support biochar as the “new” energy source. Biochar is also widely used in the agricultural sector as a soil amendment, while industrial businesses, use biochar as an additive to many products such as bricks, cement, and many more.
